Earlier this summer, we were blessed to sell our house and move to a place with lots of space for our kids to grow in a great neighborhood. It’s a house that needs a lot of love, but we like a good project (at least that’s what we tell ourselves!).
I love to have the spaces around me feel calming and homey. Neither of those things come to mind with a home renovation, do they?
I’ve been needing to start something and actually see it finished and be able to enjoy it (everything takes so much longer than you think it will). I’ve decorated a few spaces with some pretty things just because it makes me feel better, even though there is still so much undone in each room. My kitchen has a lot of work in it’s future, but it is functional. I decided to cheer up my one window in that space with some white paint. Yesterday, I set out a tiny vase with some white flowers from the yard. It’s not much, but it does make me smile when I walk by and see something clean and done. I am eager to unpack all my pretty things and really get things set up and decorated, but this will get me by until then!
