Welcome to a new feature on my blog! I am always thinking of ideas for a personal blog but I know I don’t have time to keep it updated. So mixing a few personal posts on here seems like a good alternative. The best thing about this is that is gets me using my camera for things other than work, because believe it or not I really don’t take enough pictures of my own family life!
So… here we go! :)
We aren’t usually the early Christmas decorating kind of people, but this year I actually felt like starting early! Our weekend schedules usually make that a bit challenging, so Dec 1st was the first Saturday we had free to get a tree together. We headed out of town early to a friend’s little tree farm not too far from us. It didn’t take us too long to find a great tree. We had to hurry back to Watseka because I had Christmas Mini Sessions the rest of the day at the studio, so we didn’t get to the decorating until later that evening.
The girls had fun decorating (Phil and I were both exhausted, but it was still fun :) ) The girls had the most fun decorating their “kid” tree. A few years ago when we were in a small apartment, we had used a tiny fake tree, so this year I let them have it for the play room. Yesterday I found Brooklyn pushing it around in her little shopping cart (?) but at least they are having fun, right?
Then of course we had to watch a Christmas movie before bed! It’s fun to see their excitement for this time of year!
